Mother Of The Year
Today I earned the Mother of the Year Award. While I am not certain if the word “best” or “worst” should preface that title, I deserve the award nonetheless. For quite some time now, Jack’s naps have trended towards 1 1/2 hour, post lunch slumbers. As of late, however, I have found that he will pass out in the carseat, no matter what time it is. Frustrations of a stay-at-home mom
Let me preface this entry by saying that I wouldn’t trade my job for the world. Truly. But every job has its ups and downs. I could just pretend that our days are flawless, our schedule like a science. But I would be deceiving myself. I have decided that it is healthy to vent; that I am a better mother if I don’t let my aggravation stay bottled up inside. Mother’s Day
I have been looking forward to Mother’s Day for quite some time now. Last year, almost 8 months pregnant, I tried to include myself with the mothers. John kept telling me that it wasn’t my year yet.
