Today was our last full day in London. It was another beautiful day. The weather here really has been in our favor. Very chilly and windy but clear and sunny for the most part. We decided to go to Harrod’s this morning. John wanted to see what all the hype was about and once inside he said “This place is like the Louvre….you could get lost and spend all day in here”. [Read more →]

Now that I have vented about our crappy day yesterday, I am over it and I will tell you what we actually accomplished yesterday…quite a bit. We began by going to Museum d’Orsay. It is located in what used to be a train station. [Read more →]

Made our way to Westminster Abbey today. John and I both agree that we will never tire of this spectacular place. As long as I continue to visit London, I think I will continue to go to Westminster Abbey. Focusing more on a particular area or seeing something I didn’t see before….either way it never gets old. We walked to the Holland Park tube station with John this morning and got coffee and breakfast. Then we parted ways: John went to meet the CIO of the law firm - who just arrived from Atlanta this a.m. - and take him on a tour of the data facility. Jack and I wandered through the streets of Holland Park. Those homes are amazing. [Read more →]

John didn’t go in to work until about noon today so we walked up to the local coffee shop for a cappuccino and some breakfast. Later, Jack and I joined Amy and the kids for a trip to the Knightsbridge area. We went to the world renowned Harrod’s. [Read more →]

Jack and I took a late morning walk today. I got coffee and we enjoyed being outside. It was gorgeous today. Then we came home and hung out at the apartment most of the day. [Read more →]

Another beautiful day. John was in the London office all day. I walked to Notting Hill, which is really nice. Gorgeous homes. Hit the Portabello Street Market. There are a lot of markets here in London but some are held only on certain days of the week. [Read more →]

We headed out around 9am this morning. We found out on our way that Westminster Abbey that it is closed today and tomorrow due to Lent so we will try to go one morning next week. We got off at the Westminster stop anyway, saw Big Ben and Parliament and headed toward the London Eye. [Read more →]
