Today was our last full day in London. It was another beautiful day. The weather here really has been in our favor. Very chilly and windy but clear and sunny for the most part. We decided to go to Harrod’s this morning. John wanted to see what all the hype was about and once inside he said “This place is like the Louvre….you could get lost and spend all day in here”. [Read more →]

We got up early today and walked to the Louvre. It is about 1 mile from our hotel. Not a bad walk but it was lightly raining the whole way there. We arrived at the perfect time. It had only been open for about 30 minutes and we think the rain scared some people away. [Read more →]

We walked to the Holland Park tube station with John this morning and got coffee and breakfast. Then we parted ways: John went to meet the CIO of the law firm - who just arrived from Atlanta this a.m. - and take him on a tour of the data facility. Jack and I took a late morning walk today. I got coffee and we enjoyed being outside. It was gorgeous today. Then we came home and hung out at the apartment most of the day. [Read more →]

Another beautiful day. John was in the London office all day. I walked to Notting Hill, which is really nice. Gorgeous homes. Hit the Portabello Street Market. There are a lot of markets here in London but some are held only on certain days of the week. [Read more →]

We headed out around 9am this morning. We found out on our way that Westminster Abbey that it is closed today and tomorrow due to Lent so we will try to go one morning next week. We got off at the Westminster stop anyway, saw Big Ben and Parliament and headed toward the London Eye. [Read more →]

Jack and I did quite a bit of walking today with Amy and her kids, Bruno and Isabel. John and Gabe headed in to the London office just after lunch and Amy and the kids and I set out. We walked to Hammersmith - where John and I had lunch the other day. We stopped for an afternoon beer at a pub. [Read more →]

We took our first stroll to Holland Park today. It is a nice park with a great walking/jogging path, soccer fields, playgrounds, etc. Jack was mesmerized watching all of the children running around. I promised him that he’d be joining them soon enough……gotta work on crawling first. [Read more →]
