Another beautiful day. John was in the London office all day. I walked to Notting Hill, which is really nice. Gorgeous homes. Hit the Portabello Street Market. There are a lot of markets here in London but some are held only on certain days of the week. [Read more →]

The sun was shining when we set out today. It was beautiful outside! We grabbed a quick coffee and walked up Kensington Road to Kensington Palace and Gardens. Practically the entire property, which is acres and acres, is a memorial to Princess Diana. There is a memorial fountain, memorial playground, memorial walkways, etc. Very pretty place. We headed out around 9am this morning. We found out on our way that Westminster Abbey that it is closed today and tomorrow due to Lent so we will try to go one morning next week. We got off at the Westminster stop anyway, saw Big Ben and Parliament and headed toward the London Eye. [Read more →]

Jack and I did quite a bit of walking today with Amy and her kids, Bruno and Isabel. John and Gabe headed in to the London office just after lunch and Amy and the kids and I set out. We walked to Hammersmith - where John and I had lunch the other day. We stopped for an afternoon beer at a pub. [Read more →]

We took our first stroll to Holland Park today. It is a nice park with a great walking/jogging path, soccer fields, playgrounds, etc. Jack was mesmerized watching all of the children running around. I promised him that he’d be joining them soon enough……gotta work on crawling first. [Read more →]

Our flat is small. I mean, very very very small. It is hard to find a place for all of our stuff. Notice I said “stuff”. They don’t seem to have a lot of “stuff” over here. And I think that is a positive thing…. [Read more →]

The past couple of days have been cold but clear and sunny. Today it is foggy, overcast and much colder….exactly what I expected. But that didn’t stop us from getting out and about. We had a rough night. Jack went down at 9pm last night but woke at 11pm and wouldn’t go down again until well into the morning hours. He woke this a.m. and then took his first nap for 3 hours.
