Jack likes that Boom Boom Pow…I think it is in his genes
If I hear a good beat, I have to dance. Or at least shake my shoulders a little….or my butt. I have tried to not dance when my body really wants to. Trust me, it isn’t good for the soul. I guess deep down I am a dancer. But nothing like my friend Kate, who is a trained ballerina that traveled the world throughout and after college performing. And not like the stripper at the local “nude emporium”. But still, I am a dancer and I always have been.
Jack is a dancer. At 22 months old, he has rythym. He has been entertaining us for a while with his ability to drum a beat (seriously) on his toy drum. He even jammed on the drums with a friends garage band to a Pink FLoyd song once. Even more recently, his ability as a dancer has surfaced. He spins, he shimmies, he bounces his shoulders up and down - in true mommy fashion of course. He has been exposed to many genres of music and appears to enjoy them all. But I must say, he really fancies the Black Eyed Peas. Can you blame him? Their songs are catchy, they drop a good beat, their lyrics are infectious….not that he comprehends them, and that is probably a good thing. But when Boom Boom Pow comes on the radio, those shoulders start bouncing and that smile spreads across his sweet face. Just like me, he can’t help it. And I hope he never tries to.

Boom Boom Pow… Love that song! I’m trying not to let Sashimi Horse die so I’m adding your link, I didn’t think you still kept this up! Good job on using the hard Wordpress, too…
Go Jack! Making a dance teacher proud! Jack might need to give Jake a hand on the rhythm. Let’s just say that Jake has a unique style of “interpretive” dance he does to electronic music!
You’re a great mom!
