Serafino
We decided to go to Harrod’s this morning. John wanted to see what all the hype was about and once inside he said “This place is like the Louvre….you could get lost and spend all day in here”. The Food Halls of Harrod’s are probably the most impressive part. Meat, fish, fruits, vegetables, candies, teas, you name it. We had a cappuccino and fed Jack lunch at a cafe on the 4th floor.
After Harrod’s we decided to walk through Hyde Park and over to Serafino, a restaurant we dined at with John’s parents a few years ago. It was such a memorable experience we wanted to go again. We must have had a lot of wine during that memorable dinner…in fact I know we did. John and I barely remembered much of the place visually except the yellow walls. We walked in at 2pm today, peak lunch hour. We were the youngest people there, we had a stroller in tow and we were wearing jeans. Everyone in the place had on a tie. Definitely a spot for the London power lunch. Luckily, we wear jeans well. John had on a collared shirt and I had on my killer London boots and a cute little jacket. They welcomed us with open arms.
Jack was on his best behavior (we made sure of that by giving him our London map which he intently fondled and chewed during our entire meal). The maitre d loved Jack and Jack loved him, smiling and kicking his feet whenever he stopped by our table to chat. Jack also managed to flirt with every waitress in the place, which we are used to by now. It was probably the best meal we have had this entire trip. Excellent! Stopped in The Audley after lunch for a quick pint. The Audley is another beautiful, old pub that probably dates back to over 100 years ago. Made some friends and discussed American politics. Good times.
Tomorrow is our last full day here. Bittersweet. We miss everyone at home and look forward to sleeping in our own bed but we have fallen in love with London. But we know we will come back, that is for sure. Not sure what we’ll do tomorrow, but I’d put money on us hitting a pub. ![]()

We can’t wait to see you. Hope your last day is as great as all the
days before have been!
I’m so glad you got to Serafino. I agree it was such a memorable evening when we were all there together. I’m sure we did have a few bottles of wine, other wise we would not have the “Infamous video”.
I can’t wait to give you all three a big hug.
