Bonjour Mon Amies et Famille!!!

We have not had internet for the past two days, so my apologies to all of my loyal fans! :) Oh, and photos are coming….hopefully tonight. We have some terrific ones and will post them asap! We are in Paris and loving it.

The Eurostar trip from London to Paris was great….it was a little over 2 hours long. Jack did really well and I think he was happy to arrive in Paris. We rode the metro to our hotel, which is quite nice and refreshing. Don’t get me wrong, the flat in London is great. However, the bed is a double and not comfortable at all. We have been looking forward to the king sized bed at the hotel and it is great. They even turned down the sheets in Jack’s crib. Ha! So funny. Our hotel is a fantastic area: a block from the Champs Elysees, 2 blocks from the River Seine. The stores right around our hotel include Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Chloe, Gucci, etc….Needless to say, I will not be shopping in Pairs. Well, at least not in this neighborhood.

After we checked in to the hotel, we wandered up and down the Champs. We had a late lunch at a little Italian cafe that served the best Caesar salad I have ever had. And the pizza was tasty too. The streets were crowded and we overheard several different languages being spoken. Definitely a tourist city. Paris is definitely dirtier than London. The metro and the streets had a certain….”comment dit on ‘filth’ en Francais?”. I guess that is to be expected in a large city….it just makes me realize how clean London is. We walked up to the Arch de Triumph and decided to check out the view from the top. It was spectacular. Again, we have some great pics and will post them very very soon. It had been a long day and we opted for room service. Tomorrow, to the Louvre. Bonsoir!

I am jealous - eat some good bread and a croissant for me! And of course - some wine!

How things change! When I was in Paris in 1989 it was so clean.
Too bad it is not the same.
