Westminster Abbey
Made our way to Westminster Abbey today. John and I both agree that we will never tire of this spectacular place. As long as I continue to visit London, I think I will continue to go to Westminster Abbey. Focusing more on a particular area or seeing something I didn’t see before….either way it never gets old. It was another beautiful day out and the sky was the perfect color of blue. John got some great photos of the Abbey. We will post photos soon…..we haven’t had time to do so yet.
We walked over to The Albert, a pub off of Victoria Street that is close to 150 years old. We had some beer and cottage pie for lunch. It was one of the best pub meals we have had. We hope to go back while we are here. Neat pub….we came here for some pints several years ago with John’s parents. It was number one on our list to visit while here so we are glad we were able to stop in.
After lunch we wandered over to Buckingham Palace and walked through Hyde Park before hopping the tube back home. We opted to have a quick dinner at Crown and Sceptre because it has been a long day, we need to pack for Paris and we have a cab coming at 6:45 am tomorrow to take us to the train station. So good night!

Barbara Wah Wah had a 2 hour 20/20 special last night about the
royal family. They actually focused on a more intimate side of their
lives. Even at their best though they are a bit…..shall we say…reserved?
Stoggy comes to mind.
