Weather, Transportation and Cuisine
The past couple of days have been cold but clear and sunny. Today it is foggy, overcast and much colder….exactly what I expected. But that didn’t stop us from getting out and about. John worked from the flat today so we woke up this morning and hopped on the tube: it was Jack and my first tube ride….
~Jack all geared up to head out into the London streets~
A very complex train system but much much much more sophisticated and efficient than our MARTA.
We walked around Hammersmith and grabbed a quick bite to eat. Now we are just hanging at the flat; John is working and Jack is napping.

~Sleepy Jack~
The landlord stocked our flat with more fruits and veggies than we can consume. For real: one package of strawberries, 2 of blueberries, a basket of plums, a bag of grapes, 2 bushels of bananas, a BAG each of apples, oranges and pears, salad, tomatoes, and a cucumber.

~A well stocked refrigerator~ ~Snack time~
We are going to give it our best shot though! We also have lots of snacks: yogurt, croissants, deli meats and crackers, sodas, beer/wine and juice. Quite a nice array of food. We haven’t gone to the store for dinner fixings yet and not sure how often we’ll cook so I think tonight is going to be Chinese take-out. Those of you who said the food here is awful just didn’t know where to look: you can get anything you want here! Chinese, Pizza, Thai, Indian, Iranian, etc…….

Wow! So much fruit. You will definietly get your 3 to 5 servings a
day. Jack looks as if he is right at home.
Don’t forget to do the afternoon Tea.
You look all settled in and appear to be having a great time… I am so happy for you!
